History

The history of the Fontana family has very ancient origins.
In 1731 the marquisate of Cravanzana was given as a gift by King Victor Amadeus II to Gian Giacomo Fontana, his minister of state, for merit.
Today his coat of arms represents a seal of quality designed to maximize the value of the Alta Langa hazelnut.
